Easy 4-Course Halloween Menu: Spooky Snacks for Your Celebration

Halloween is almost here, and it's time to prepare some delicious snacks for your celebration! Whether you're hosting guests or just enjoying a fun night with family, our easy Halloween recipes will help you create a memorable menu. Keep reading for our spooky four-course Halloween menu!

1. Snack: Halloween Buddies

Kick off your Halloween festivities with a fun and tasty pre-meal snack: Halloween Buddies! This mix is a delicious twist on traditional Chex mix and is perfect for guests to munch on.

Ingredients

  • 4 ½ cups Corn Chex cereal
  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 1 cup salted, shelled peanuts

Method

  1. Measure cereal into a large bowl and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter for 30 seconds. Stir and microwave for an additional 15 seconds until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and stir until evenly coated. Transfer to a plastic bag.
  4. Add powdered sugar to the bag, seal, and shake until well coated. Mix in candy corn and peanuts. Spread on wax paper to cool, then store in an airtight container.
Witch Finger Breadsticks

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper
  • Flour for dusting
  • 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 5 pimento-stuffed black olives (halved lengthwise)
  • ½ cup marinara sauce for dipping

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together olive oil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Lightly flour a surface and divide dough into 10 pieces. Roll each into a 10-inch rope, twist in the middle, and place on baking sheets.
  4. Brush with seasoned oil, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and press an olive half at one end. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Serve with warm marinara sauce.
Hot Dog Mummies

For the main course, whip up some Hot Dog Mummies—a spooky twist on classic pigs in a blanket!

Ingredients

  • 8 hot dogs
  • 8 ounces refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Mustard or ketchup for serving

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Warm hot dogs in a saucepan for about 5 minutes, then drain.
  2. Roll crescent roll dough into strips and wrap around each hot dog to create a mummy look. Add mustard dots for eyes if desired.
  3. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.

4. Dessert: Ghost Cookies

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces vanilla candy coating or almond bark
  • 1 pound Nutter Butter cookies
  • 4 teaspoons miniature chocolate chips

Method

  1. Melt candy coating in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  2. Line cookie sheets with waxed paper. Dip each cookie into the melted coating, letting excess drip off.
  3. Place cookies on lined sheets and add chocolate chips for eyes. Let cool until coating is set.
