The official camping season is just around the corner at Sun Outdoors! Join us for the much-anticipated Wake Up the Bears ceremony at our Jellystone Parks™ across the nation. After a long winter, it's time to bring Yogi Bear™ and his friends out of hibernation! Check individual camp-resort websites for the 2025 dates.

Campers come prepared to make some noise and wake up Boo Boo™, Cindy Bear™, and Yogi Bear™ from their winter slumber. This festive occasion is packed with fun activities and events at Jellystone Parks™ all over the U.S. Here's a sneak peek at some of the exciting spring events happening this season.

Wake Up Weekend Events in New York

At Jellystone Park™ of Western New York, the Wake Up the Bears ceremony kicks off with a lively hayride. Guests bring pots and pans to create a joyful ruckus that even bears can't ignore. The weekend is filled with Cinco de Mayo festivities for the whole family.

• Jellystone Park™ at Birchwood Acres will also wake up the bears in 2025, followed by a Junior Ranger & Scouts Weekend featuring obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, and Junior Ranger badges for kids.

• Jellystone Park™ of Lazy River in Gardiner, New York, will celebrate with an Easter Egg hunt, egg painting, and appearances by the Easter Bunny.

Wake Up Weekend Events in Colorado

Jellystone Park™ at Larkspur goes all out for its season opener on Easter Weekend. The festivities start with an early morning wake-up call to Yogi Bear™.

• After the rousing, enjoy the inaugural flag raising, arts and crafts, candy bar bingo, Easter egg decorating, and a scenic evening hayride. As night falls, the excitement continues with a flashlight Easter egg hunt for children aged 8 and older.

Wake Up Weekend Events in Pennsylvania

Located just 18 miles south of Lancaster, Jellystone Park™ of Quarryville will wake up the bears in 2025, featuring the first dance party of the season along with laser tag, gaga ball, and the famous jumping pillow.

Take advantage of our special offers during Wake Up Weekend! Guests at Jellystone Park™ of Luray in Virginia can enjoy a stay-one-night-get-the-second-night-free deal, located in the heart of Shenandoah National Park.

Jellystone Park™ of Maryland is also offering the same deal for stays near Hagerstown, while Jellystone Park™ at Larkspur provides a similar offer, including all the exciting weekend activities mentioned above.
