We are thrilled to share that Southern Leisure RV Resort is joining the Sun RV Resorts family. This active 55+ outdoor destination is in the town of Chiefland, a hub for exploring northwestern Florida.
When you stay at Southern Leisure, you can conveniently visit Manatee Springs State Park, where gentle giants swim through clear waters. This attraction is just seven miles west of the spacious RV sites at our resort. Come visit us soon to experience sunshine and smiles at Southern Leisure!

Our new accommodation options in northwest Florida include landscaped RV sites with full hookups. Each site is extra-long with room for rigs of up to 100 feet. Additionally, you'll enjoy access to WiFi throughout the resort.

Florida Attractions Around Chiefland
Southern Leisure is our first outdoor destination in Chiefland. There's plenty to do in the area, starting at Manatee Springs State Park. We recommend strolling the boardwalk and looking for the sea cows, as they're locally known, in winter.
Another great day trip awaits 30 miles south at Cedar Key. This tiny fishing village is unlike anywhere else in Florida. Our suggestions? Learn the history at Cedar Key Museum State Park, then finish the day with a dockside dinner at Steamers.
